What is mold avoidance?

Mold avoidance is no less than the healing method which has given me my life back. This life is not only a match to who I was before chronic fatigue syndrome and late stage Lyme disease. In 2025, I have a better functioning brain than I have ever had in my whole life.

I began my journey with the method known as “mold avoidance” at the start of the year 2020. I had been through so many ups and downs with my health, tried so many nutrition plans, mindfulness techniques, prescription medications, holistic therapies, and approaches, and still felt that my health had degraded to the point where I wanted to become an in-patient for Lyme somewhere I could have my needs met. Let’s just say that after just a few days of following the mold avoidance method, I never thought of being in-patient again.

My online search for an in-patient program led to the search word combination of “mold” + “retreat”, which in turn, produced a beautiful article written by Lisa Petrison about living and working at a hot springs retreat center. From the rest of her website, I learned that there is a healing method called mold avoidance whereby certain key participants are known to have reversed terrible health conditions.

One of the aspects that I find interesting, as well as promising, is that there are those who report that they thought they were completely healthy until they began doing mold avoidance with family members, often to help a child. They then found that many of their symptoms they thought were relatively minor, completely cleared up. They referred to menstrual cramps, migraines, skin conditions, moodiness, digestive irritability, and generalized achiness. My personal opinion is that this method is worth investigating, and has the potential to change lives.

Coaching

My goal with coaching in mold avoidance is to help people experience the same miraculous healing that I did. I spent years helping others for free, specifically with mold avoidance, because for me, it is a meaningful community service. I continue doing service work from time to time, particularly with family and friends. I am truly inspired by the positive changes I see in their lives.

I am glad to be able to offer more in-depth, personalized coaching to clients. This is distinct from going to a therapist. This is completely personalized action plans, debriefs, adjustments, next steps, and celebrating your wins. This is strategic action.

My values with coaching are important to me. At the top of those values are authenticity, real solutions, and care. All three of those are important to making coaching effective.
